Lois A. Wadhams of King, NC went to be with the Lord on December 3rd. She was born in 1933 in Pikeville, KY to Zera (Conley) and Lundy Adams. She moved to this area in the 1950’s where she met and married Benjamin Wadhams from Holley in 1960. Wayne (Kelly) arrived a few years later and the three of them moved to Carlton in 1966. Vonda and Doyle (Pamela) came along soon thereafter. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her husband Ben and several siblings, Joyce (John) Klopp, Robert Adams, Julene (John) Weddington and Joann Stratton. Along with her children, left to cherish Lois’s memory are sisters Gladys, Patricia (James) Lorentz and Garnet (Bud) Moore, Sister-in-law Dot Adams, brother-in-law Glenn Stratton, grandchildren Kelsey (Aaron) Yantz, Ben, Emma, Noah, Molly Wadhams, great-grandchild Theo Yantz as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Lois will miss doing water aerobics at the YMCA in King, NC and working in her yard.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Supportive Care of Orleans who provided loving comfort and care to Lois and all of us over the last few weeks.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Sunday December 11th 12:00pm-2:00pm where her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
