Obituary of Lora L. Burgess Lora L. Burgess age 71, died January 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1941 in Medina a daughter of the late Clifford and Doris (Sealy) Allen. Lora was a former employee of T.J. Lipton and retired after 35 years of service from J.C. Penny. She graduated from Albion High School class of 1959. Lora was an avid collector of antiques and Gone With The Wind memorabilia. Lora also enjoyed her coffee , but most of all loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her grandchild, Shawn and brother, Stuart. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Philip; children, Deborah Gardner of SD., Philip (Lynn) Burgess of Albion, Sandra Elliott of TX. , Paul (Sheryl) Burgess of Lyndonville, Patrick (Melanie) Burgess of TX; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Judy (Don) Manley of Albion, Lynn (William) Seward of OH, Gary (Eileen) Allen of Albion, Albert (Joyce) Allen of Albion; sisters-in-law, Chris Allen of Albion, Judith (Doldan) of FL.; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue Albion, Friday from 4:00-7:00, where her Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm.
