Loretta Virginia "Long" Pahura

Obituary of Loretta Virginia (Long) Pahura Loretta joined her loving husband Edward in heaven on February 9, 2018. She passed at The Villages of Orleans in Albion, NY. Loretta was born July 7, 1923 in Albion, NY where she was a resident all of her life. Loretta graduated from Albion High School in 1941. She married Edward Pahura on July 15, 1945. They celebrated 72 years of marriage together. Loretta worked at General Electric for 24 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters for 50 years. She loved cooking, making the famous Pahura family sauce, gardening, sewing, knitting, vacationing with her family, reading and puzzles. Loretta’s husband, Edward J. Pahura, passed away on February 7, 2018. Loretta was predeceased by her parents, Earle and Leota Long; brothers, Roy Long and Alfred Long. Loretta is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Carson) Meyers; son, Gary (Veronica) Pahura; son, Steven (Debbie) Pahura; grandchildren, Gary (Deborah) Pahura, Melinda Swallows, Rhonda (Wayne) Moyer, Nicole (David) Rappleyea, and Jason Pahura; along with nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Loretta and Edward’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday February 15th at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church – Holy Family Parish. Burial will be at Mount Albion Cemetery.
