Obituary of Louis Collichio Albion: Louis Collichio 94, died May 16, 2015 at the Martin-Linsin Hospice Residence in Albion. He was born November 6, 1920 in Rochester, NY a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Dimonte) Collichio. Louis was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church and the Knights of Columbus St. Joan of Arc Assembly 4th Degree. He served in the US Army during WW II in North Africa and Italy and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a former employee of Scrufari Construction Co. in Niagara Falls. Louis was an avid Golfer, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Angie (Al) Barone, Margaret (Louis) Palermo, Antoinette (Angelo) Ricchueto, Elizabeth (William) Vetromile, Dominick Collichio, Ralph (Antoinette) Collichio, John (Rena) Collichio, Tom (Ann) Collichio, Danny (Grace) Collichio; sons, Mike and Sam Collichio.
He is survived by the love of his life of 73 years, Mary (Petronio) Collichio; son, Deacon James (Sharon) Collichio; grandsons, Steven (Brittney) Collichio, David (Susan) Collichio; great-grandchildren, Cole, Dominick, Terra; brothers, George (Ann) Collichio, Mike (Madeline) Collichio; sister, Grace (the late Ernest) Imperial; sister-in-law, Lydia Collichio; many nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Monday from 7:00-9:00 & Tuesday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00. Prayers will be said Wednesday at the funeral home at 9:30, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church at 10:00am. Interment with military honors at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church 106 S.
