Obituary of Louis Monacelli Jr. Albion: Louis M. Monacelli Jr. 66, died suddenly July 4, 2014. He was born April 25, 1948 in Batavia a son of the late Louis and Angeline "Babe" (D'Orazio) Monacelli Sr. Louis was an active member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Albion High School class of 1966, Buffalo State College in 1970 with a Bachelor's degree and Brockport State College with a Master's degree. Louis was employed for 33 years at the Orleans County Dept. of Social Services, retiring in 2003 as an Accounting Supervisor. He enjoyed helping at the church, walking, shopping and socializing with his friends at the Village House Restaurant. Louis is survived by his brother, Dennis (Sheila) Monacelli; niece, AnnMarie; nephew, Louis; aunt, Franny Minervino; several cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Monday (July 7)from 4:00-8:00, where prayers will be said Tuesday at 9:00, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish- St. Joseph's Church at 9:30am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation
