Louise M. Monaghan

Louise M. Monaghan, age 76, died July 2, 2024 in United Memorial Medical Center-Batavia. She was born August 29, 1947 in Lockport to Francis and Marcella (Schmidt) Laubacker and was a life-long resident of this area.

Louise worked as an LPN for over 50 years, providing people with compassion and care. Her last job was serving those under the care of Hospice of Orleans. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Parish, and a current member of the Cornerstone Church in Hulberton. Louise was a member of the Orleans County Home Bureau, the Orleans County Blue Bird Society, loved to socialize with people by sharing with them her likes and loves such as crafting and sewing.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years David, her children: Heidi (Paul) Hunter of WA, Timothy (Barb) Monaghan of Albion, her siblings: Joseph Laubacker of Gasport, Kathy Grissom of AZ, her grandchildren: Hayden and Emerie Hunter, Owen Monaghan, and two nieces: Sophia and Brianna.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Medina, 203 W. Center Street, Medina, NY, 14103 on FRIDAY JULY 26, 2024 from 3-4 pm where her Memorial Service will be held immediately following visitation at 4 pm. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, 14080 NY 31, Albion, NY, 14411 or PAWS, 3371 Gaines Basin Rd, Albion, NY, 14411. Louise’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion.
