Lounetta Ward

Obituary of Lounetta Ward Lounetta (Landers) Ward, age 104, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Gasport, entered into rest on March 1, 2017 after a short illness. Born February 4, 1913 in Johnson Creek, NY she lived in Florida for 25 years and moved to Tucson, AZ in 2001. Lounetta is the daughter of the late: Leslie and Mabel (Higgs) Landers. Lounetta married Elton "Wardie" Ward November 30, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Ward died November 17, 1998. She loved card games (played a mean game of "Wizard"), enjoyed music and playing the organ. Lounetta belonged to the Rebekah Lodge for over 40 years, was a member of Eastern Star Lodge of Gasport and organist for the Community Church on Bunker Hill Road. Surviving Lounetta is her beloved daughter, Bonnie (Vossler) Gasior and (William Fox). Lounetta was predeceased by her brother, Milford Landers. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Covenant United Church of Christ, 4449 Main Street, Gasport, NY on Saturday, June 10th at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow. Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery, Gasport, NY In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to a charity of one's choice.
