Lucille W. Bloom

Obituary of Lucille W. Bloom Lucille W. Bloom age 92 died August 15, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born September 29, 1925 in Albion, a daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel Willimott and had lived in this area all of her life. Lucille was the first female County Clerk of NYS and had worked for Orleans County, retiring December 31, 1986. She was a member of the Albion First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Past Matron and was also a member and past President of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Lucille was devoted to her family and friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed all sports. She was a wonderful cook and she loved to garden and camp. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1962; brother Dick Willimott; sister Dorothy Ross and most recently her special friend Richard Heard. She is survived by her children David (Cathy) Bloom of WI, Douglas (Eileen) Bloom of E. Rochester, Nancy Muoio of Albion, Diane Bloom of French Creek NY; grandchildren AnnWagaman, Amy (Steve) Platt, Donald (Tina) Bloom, Brian (Kristen) Bloom, Megan (Brian) Musto, Michelle (Jonathan) Restivo, Chelsey (Ryan) Williams, David (Ashley) Stirk; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Saturday August 18th 10:00am-12:00pm where her Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
