Obituary of Lucille Harvey (ALBION/BATAVIA)
Lucille S. Harvey, age 100 formerly of Albion and Victorian Manor in Batavia, died 4/22/2014 at the Village Green Nursing Home in LeRoy following a long illness. She was born 12/2/1913 in Manchester, NY to Frank and Frances(Stoddard)Smith. Mrs. Harvey was a Public School Teacher at the Clifton Springs Rural School. While in Albion Lucille was an active member of the Albion First United Methodist Church participating in the United Methodist Women, The FIDELIS Class, as well as being a fundraiser for the United Methodist Missionary Home and the Deaconess Home at the Chautauqua Institute. She and her husband Harlan were frequent visitors to the Institute, an activity that her family continues to keep alive to this day. She was very active in the community as well, serving as a volunteer at the former Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital and holding the Office of Vice President and Secretary of the Holley Cold Storage, (a business owned by her family members,) for over 40 years. Mrs. Harvey was predeceased by her husband Harlan, her brothers: Clinton and Ralph Smith, her sister Beulah Reese, and a great granddaughter Megan Beck. She is survived by her sons: Paul(Susan)Harvey of Attica, Bruce Harvey of Keuka Park, her daughter: Linda Beck of West Townshend, VT, her grandchildren: Bran(Lisa)Harvey, Staci Graham, Laurie(Dan)Emanuele, Ralph(Julie)Beck Jr., 11 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Lucille's Funeral Service MONDAY 1 p.m. in the Albion First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church. Visitation
