Lynette B Rice

Obituary of Lynette B Rice Barre- Lynette B. Rice, 76, went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2012. She was born in Lyndonville, November 8, 1935, daughter of the late Ada (Furness) and Newell Barnum. Lynette lived with her husband, Lyman Rice in Barre Center for over 50 years. Her and Lyman established and owned Rice Homes for many years, where she served as a secretary. Lynette was active in her community and she loved sewing, cooking, gardening, and helping within her church family. She was the wife of the late Lyman Rice and mother of the late Colonel Rice. She was the sister of the late Joyce Carroll. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Litchfield, nieces Pamela Brunette, Christine Mintz, Dawn Applegate, Patrice Swenson, Lisa Litchfield, Roncie Magess, and nephews Paul Litchfield, Rodney and Reid Carroll. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Barre Center Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 10th at 10:30AM. Memorials can be made to either Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Medina or Hospice of Orleans County.
