Margaret Munger

Obituary of Margaret Munger Margaret C. Munger age 98, of the Villages of Orleans, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday November 11, 2014. She was born August 15, 1916 in Nutley, NJ a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Ely) Cockefair and had spent most of her 98 years in the Holley area. Margaret attended Elmira College for 2 years and transferred to Syracuse University to complete her degree in Home Economics. It was there that she met Harlan Munger and they were married in 1939. She became active in the Brockport United Methodist Church and was the Home Economics teacher in Holley Central School from 1956-1981. She was a loving and supportive mother and wife. She is survived by her son Craig (Mary) Munger of Canandaigua; daughter Melinda Bailey of Albion; son-in-law Michael Potter of Bozeman MT and she thoroughly enjoyed her 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harlan and her daughter Dale. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rte. 31 (W. Albion Rd.) Holley Saturday November 29th 11:00am-1:00pm. Private interment in Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully directed to the Brockport United Methodist Church, 92 Main St. Brockport NY 14420. Visitation
