Marie B. Tortorice

Obituary of Marie B. Tortorice Albion: Marie B. Tortorice, age 95, passed away March 23, 2019. She was born January 16, 1924 in Bennington, NY to the late Clarence and Minnie (Ike) Bender. Marie was a retiree from Albion Correctional where she was a Corrections Officer. In her spare time she enjoyed playing BINGO, gardening and vacationing at various places. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nunzio “Torchy” in January of 1991 and her siblings, James and Harold Bender, Eva Lyons and granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Tortorice. Marie is survived by her sons, Tom (Carole), Richard (Chantal) James (Janine), 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Merrill Grinnell Funeral Home, (NOTE ADDRESS) 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Saturday, March 30th, from 10:00-11:00 where her funeral service will be held at 11:00. Interment will follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
