Obituary of Marilyn (Scoppa) Briggs Brockport: Marilyn Briggs, 69, passed away January 28, 2017 at Unity Hospital. Marilyn was born May 16, 1947 in Albion a daughter of the late Daniel and Stella (Adduci) Scoppa. Marilyn was a woman of strong faith and was member of Holy Family Parish. Marilyn had great pride and joy in her grandchildren, family and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Gardner. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Howard; beloved children, Stacy (Chris) Briggs and Michael (Kasey) Briggs; beloved grandchildren, Kane, Carmen and Stella; several cousins and many friends. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave, Albion, Wednesday February 1, from 3:00-7:00. Marilyn’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, Thursday February 2, at 10:00am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411.
