Obituary of Marilyn F. Greenwell .Marilyn F. Greenwell of Middleport passed away early Friday morning, May 9, 2014 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, NY. Mrs. Greenwell was born in Ontario, Canada on March 5, 1931 daughter of the late John G. and Mabel (Bain) Funk and she has lived in Middleport since l954. She and her husband Owen Greenwell were married March 28, 1964. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Houghton College and a Masters Degree from SUNY at Geneseo. She taught at the Middleport Elementary School for several years retiring in l965. She also served as Library Director for the Middleport Free Library for several years. She enjoyed her family, reading, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid Yankees fan. She was predeceased by her husband Owen Greenwell and is survived by one son David (Erica) Greenwell of Middleport and one daughter Betsy (Tim) Wolcott of Albion, and four grandchildren Kaitlin Greenwell of Newfane, Jordan Wolcott, Cassidy Wolcott and Cade Wolcott all of Albion. There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, Fieldcrest Dr., Lockport, NY. Memorials to the Royalton Hartland Community Library, 9 Vernon St., Middleport, NY would be apprecfiated by the Greenwell family.
