Obituary of Marilyn Mae Peters (AKRON) Marilyn Mae Peters, age 87, died January 17, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family following a short illness. She was born January 22, 1933 in North Tonawanda to Howard and Marion (Kroop) Miller and was a life-long resident of this area. Marilyn was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and a 4-H Leader for the Tonawanda Torpedoes 4-H Club. By all rights, she would be called a Shepherd as she and her husband raised sheep for most of their lives on the farm. Marilyn also was a musician and was a well-known, well-respected drummer for many local bands. Mrs. Peters was predeceased by her sister Barbara. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Boyd, her sons: Daniel (Betsy) Peters of TX, Gary (Joleen) Peters of Middleport, her sister: Shirley Appleton, her grandchildren: Gary Jr., Brandon, Adam, Allison, and her great grandchildren: Chase, Everett and Weston. There will be no prior calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
