Obituary of Mary Jean Hidy . Mary Jean (Enser) Hidy of Middleport passed away early Friday morning, September 26, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Hidy was born in the Town of Langford, New York on September 8, 1937 daughter of the late Harold and Theresa (Sieder) Enser and she has lived in Middleport for the past twenty years. She was employed as a dietician at Manhattan Manor in Buffalo, New York retiring after thirty five years of service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish/St.Stephen's RC Church in Middleport and she enjoyed her family, reading and going on vacation. She was predceased by several brothers and sisters. Mother of Maureen (Fred) McHiff, Joe (Robin) Hidy, Theresa (Guy) Kibbe and Lisa (Mark) Rupert. Sister of John Enser, Al (Beverly) Enser, Deborah (Salvatore) Castrogiovanni, grandmother of nine and greatgraddy of four. Friends may call Sunday from 4PM to 8PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00PM at Holy Trinity Parish/St.Stephen's RC Church, Vernon St., Middleport where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice or the Gasport Lions Club would be appreciated by the Hidy family.
