Obituary of Mary D Mignano Brockport-
Mary D. Mignano, (Gifaldi), 95, formerly of Perry St. in Holley and The Landings in Brockport, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2014. She was born in Holley, NY the daughter of John and Angeline Gifaldi and has lived in this area most of her life. She worked at G.E in Brockport for many years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Holley, Rosary Society, S.L.I.M women's club of St. Mary's Church, and Holley Senior Citizens. Mary was also active in Longboat Key Community where she lived with her Daughter and Son in law for 8 years, and attended St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church where she was active in the Women's Guild.
She was predeceased by her husband Simon; brothers and sisters, Patrick, Edith, Grace, Jenny, Alfred, Carmine and Angeline. She is survived by daughter, Phyllis (James) McGuire of Longboat Key; 2 Grandchildren, Kate McGuire of New Jersey, Matthew (Penny) McGuire of Wheatfield; brother, Americk "Chipper" Gifaldi of Holley; Sisters, Josephine Schulte of Rochester, Sally Rytlewski of Albion; Step great grandchildren, Dominick and Joshua Pitruzzella; Many Nieces and Nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4-7pm at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 39 Geddes St., Holley. A mass of Christian burial will be on Friday at 10am at St. Mary's Church in Holley. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial s in Mary's name may be made to church.
