Obituary of Mary Plummer Mary E. Plummer, age 76 passed away October 20, 2013. Mary was born in Albion, the daughter of Frederick and Gladys Wilson Daniels. She graduated from the Albion High School in 1954 finishing 3rd in her class and was honored to give the commencement speech. Mary graduated from Brockport State College in 1958 with the academic honor of Suma Cum Laude.
She and George Plummer were married in Albion on June 25, 1960. They made their home in West Webster, NY, Fort Worth, TX, and San Diego, CA with a 14 month period in 1979-80 living in Denmark. They moved to Wichita, KS in 2003 and then to Clearwater, KS in 2004.
Mary worked in a baker during high school and college. She taught 4th grade at Medina and West Webster Elementary Schools. Mary became a Legal Secretary and later a Paralegal for the firm, Schall, Boudreaux and Gore, one of the largest firms in Southern California. In the 1990's she worked for Joan Krock, of McDonalds fame, as her bookkeeper until she retired in 1999. She was a member of the First UMC, Fort Worth, TX. She was a skier, enjoyed macrame´, and sold plant hangers through JCP. Mary crocheted a blanket for every baby. She loved reading, gardening, antique shopping, traveling, and dancing; both square dancing and ballroom, and she liked country music.
Mary is survived by her husband George of Clearwater, KS; sons, Bruce Plummer of San Diego, CA, Paul (Kathy) Plummer of Escondido, CA, and daughter Jennifer (Todd) Clark of Clearwater, KS; siblings, Patsy, Betty, Dorothy, and Fred; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary's Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 28th at 11:00AM at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, with her interment to follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
