Obituary of Mary D. Swiercznski (ALBION)
Mary D. Swiercznski, age 88, died 10/29/2017 in the Batavia Health Care Center following a short illness. She was born 5/21/1929 in Selinsgrove, PA to Paul and Jennie (Loss) Baneyand had lived in this area since 1948. Mary was a lifetime member of the Sheret Post American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a past member of T.O.P.S. She enjoyed crocheting, playing BINGO, going out to eat, shopping and travelling. Mary especially enjoyed baking bread and cinnamon rolls for her family, friends, and neighbors. In addition for baking for enjoyment, Mary also worked several years as a main-stay at Susie's Pizzeria in Albion. She was a very social person who had a deep love for her family and her pets. Mrs. Swiercznski was predeceased by husbands Joseph Swiercznski and Raymond Ettinger, her brothers: Kenneth, Raymond and John Baney, her sisters: Christabelle Loss, Myrtle Smith, Catherine Ettinger, Dorothy Keister and her granddaughter: Dawn Tacito. She is survived by her children: Gloria Jean (Chuck) Felice of Holley, Barbara Reed of Waterport, Richard Swiercznski of Albion, Denise VanderWeyden of MI, her brothers: Grant Baney of Albion, Percy Baney of Fl, Bruce Baney of FL, sisters: Ruth Knight of FL, Mildred Thom of Albion, 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as a special friend and neighbor: Mary Miesner and special cousin: Barb Walders. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY 10-11 a.m. where her Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
