Mason F. Cox

Obituary of Mason F. Cox Mason Forrest Cox of Medina passed away Sunday May 12, 2013 at The Villages of Orleans Health Care Center in Albion, NY. Mr. Cox was born in Lockport, NY on April 13, 1943 son of Mason F. Cox and the late Ruth Chappius Cox. He graudated from Lockport High School in l961. He and his wife Ruth (Berg) Cox were married July 21, 1984. He has lived in Medina for 30 years, before that in Lockport and he was employed as an electrical engineer for Monroe Electronics in Lyndonville retiring after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Medina Moose Club, the NRA and the Ham Radio Club K2MEK and he enjoyed his family. He is survived by his wife Ruth Cox, one daughter Margot Cox of California, his father Mason Cox; seven step children, Michelle (David) Wittkopp, Michael Churchfield, Lori (David) Boudreau, Sherry (Fred) Thurston, Paul Churchfield, Steven (Tara) Churchfield, Shawn Churchfield; 12 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and his siblings John Cox of Florida and Steven (Mary Ellen) Cox of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 3PM to 5 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, NY where a Memorial Service will follow at 5:00PM with the Rev. Eric Olsen officiating.
