Obituary of Mathew J. Teaven . Mathew J. Teaven Passed away suddenly on December 5, 2013 in Winchester, Kentucky. Born August 11, 1984 he was the son of Sheila (O'Grady, Teaven) Smith of Middleport and James and Tami Teaven of Lexington, Kentucky. Mathew was a longtime resident of Gasport until moving to Kentucky in 2010. He loved animals, the outdoors, camping, working on cars and spending time with his family. He leaves behind his fiance Becky Flinchum and her two children Briana and Austin Martin of Kentucky. In addition to his parents Mathew is survived by his brothers Mark (Jayson) Teaven of Medina, Christopher (Amanda) Teaven of Long Beach, California, stepbrother Kevin Courtney of Lexington, Kentucky; grandparents Hal and Betty Teaven of Athens, Alabama, Glenna Smith of Newfane and Opal O'Grady of Middleport who he had a very special relationship with. Mathew was predeceased by grandfathers James O'Grady and Larry Smith. He will be deeply missed. Any memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. A Memorial Service will be held at the Middleport United Methodist Church, Park Avenue, Middleport on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00PM
