Merle E. Woolston, age 85, formerly of Park Avenue, died 1/13/07 in the Orleans County Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born March 10, 1921 in the Town of Gaines to Floyd and Flora(Franks)Woolston and was a lifetime resident of this area. Merle was a member of the Gaines United Church of Christ, and was an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He and his brothers owned and operated Woolston Brothers Farm in the Town of Carlton for many years.
