Obituary of Michael J. McCabe Michael J. McCabe of Medina passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his home following a long illness. Mr. McCabe was born in Ithaca, New York on June 15, 1955 son of Shirley (Rieks) McCabe and the late Edward McCabe and he has lived in the Middleport-Medina area all of his life. He graduated from Royalton Hartland High School in l973. He and his wife Joyce (Antalek) McCabe were married August 29, 1992. He worked for Agway for 38 years as a truck driver then he went to work for Cargill Inc., in Batavia as a truck driver. He also farmed at his present location and raised quarter horses and showed them. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a member of ASSE (Student Exchange Program). He was a fan of Nascar racing and he enjoyed watching sports on TV. He was predeceased by his father Edward McCabe in 2007. He is survived by his wife Joyce L. McCabe, one daughter Shannon (Andrew) Kloc of East Amherst, one son Michael (Jill) McCabe of Gasport, his foreign daughters Miriam, Ines and Lisa Abramowski of Heiden, Germany. Also surviving is his mother Shirley McCabe of Middleport, four grandchildren Brendon Hess, Rileigh McCabe, Taylor Kloc and Alex Kloc; three sisters Maryellen (Jim) Jacobs, Michele (Fritz Peters) Denniston and Maureen (Brian) Thompson all of Middleport and se veral nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Daniel J.
