Obituary of Michael D. Merlin Michael D. Merlin of Gasport passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport Site. Mr. Merlin was born in Medina, NY on May 11, 1949 son of the late Vincent and Muriel (Williams) Merlin and he has lived all of his life in the Middleport-Gasport area. He was employed as a truck driver for over 40 years, retiring in 2007. He was employed at High-Tread in Lockport, NY and for several years worked at George H. Golding in Lockport
.
Mr. Merlin enjoyed working on cars, mowing lawn, working on engines and he enjoyed people and had a great sense of humor
.
He is survived by two children Michael (Amanda) Merlin Jr., of Tonawanda, Melissa Merlin of Buffalo, one grandson Michael V. Merlin, his former wife and mother of his children Dale Merlin of Lockport.
Also surviving is a brother and two sisters Vincent (Deborah) Merlin III of Gasport, Anne Merlin of Buffalo and Carolyn (Randy) Radel of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives may call Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM at the Hartland United Methodist Church where a Celebration of His Life will follow at 11:30 AM.
Burial in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the would be appreciated by the Merlin family.
