Michael J. Reale, age 94, died July 27, 2024 in Elderwood of Lockport following a long illness. He was born August 19, 1929 in Medina and was a life-long resident of this area.

Mike was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean war earning the rank of Sargeant. He was a member of the Clute Phillips Post American Legion, and was a member of Holy Trinity Parish-St. Stephen’s Church. Mike was a barber in Middleport for 58 years and retired in April of 2014. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid outdoorsman, loved to work in his gardens and was a man who genuinely loved his family. Mr. Reale was predeceased by his wife Patricia, a brother: Felix Reale, and a sister: Anna Amis.

He is survived by his sons: Michael Reale of Middleport, Joseph (Melissa) Reale of Buffalo, his daughter: Rebecca (Richard) Hinkson of FL, his brother: Louis (Donna) Reale of FL, his sisters: Florence Sanmarco of Medina, Madeline Merrill of Middleport, his grandchildren: Michael (Nicole) Reale II, Jennifer (Jeff) Luxon, Matthew (Brianna) Reale, Jarred (Jane) Hinkson, 8 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street-Middleport, THURSDAY AUGUST 8th from 4-7 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial FRIDAY AUGUST 9th at 10 am in Holy Trinity Parish-St. Stephen’s Church-Middleport followed by his interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery with Military Honors.
