Obituary of Muriel M. Marlow Rowling Muriel M. Rowling (Marlow), age 86, of Lockport, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born July 16, 1925 in Oundle, England, she was the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Daisy E. (Green) Marlow. Muriel married Carl D. Rowling May 24, 1945 in Oundle, England. They moved to Lockport shortly after. Mr. Rowling died August 29, 1970. She loved to knit, read her bible and gardening. Before becoming a member of Ridgewood Bible Church Muriel taught Sunday school at Rapids Christian Chapel for many years. Muriel had worked as a bookkeeper at SM Pynne & Sons in Lockport, NY for 24 years. Wife of the late Carl D. Rowling. Dear mother of Linda (Chuck) Devereese of Holley and Carl John Rowling of Tonawanda. Grandmother of Carissa Clack, Christie Haggerty, Laurie Ridgeway, Chad Devereese, Carl Rowling and John Rowling. Sister of Betty Sanford of England. Muriel is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Muriel at Ridgewood Bible Church 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY, on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:00 am. Reverend Charles Jennings will officiate. Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery, Gasport.
