Nancie L. Langridge

Elba: Nancie L. Langridge, age 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her loved ones on October 23, 2023. She was born May 12, 1954 to John and Joanne (Warner) Stapleson and raised in the Gasport area before moving to Elba where she raised her children.

Nancie had a tremendous devotion to the Lord and the kindest heart. She helped anyone in need including animals and humans alike. She was an amazing cook and baker, using ingredients she harvested from her large gardens.

Besides her father, Nancie was predeceased by her siblings, Rebecca Serth, Jeffrey Stapleson, Wendy Moran, and brother-in-law, Vancle McHenry.

She is survived by her children, Sara (Eric) Caudill, Michael (Aimee) Langridge, Jeff (Melissa) Langridge, grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, Olivia, Clara, Sylvie, Norah, Lydia, Winnie, Karisa (Jordan), mother Joanne Ridgway, sisters, Judy (Milton Cummings) McHenry, Christine Stapleson, Brenda (Steve) Ruether, Susan Bennett, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nancie’s family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main St. Gasport, NY 14067 on Friday, October 27th from 4:00-7:00pm where her funeral service will be held Saturday, October 28th at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Nancie’s name may be made to The American Cancer Society or to the Royalton Bible Church 8457 Bunker Hill Rd. Gasport, NY 14067.
