Obituary of Nancy Irene Hendley Burnett Nancy Irene Burnett (Hendley), age 65, of Lockport, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Eastern Niagara Hospital at Newfane. Born April 16, 1946 in Bath, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Fleishman) Hendley. Nancy graduated from Bath High School in 1965. She married Robert “Bill” Burnett August 17, 1968 in Pendleton, NY. Nancy had worked at various retail outlets in the area. She was a past member of the Wrights Corners Voluntary Fire Company’s Auxiliary. Nancy enjoyed reading, bowling, playing card games and spending time with her family. She had lived in Lockport since 1966, previously of Bath, NY. Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert “Bill” Burnett. Dear mother of: Suzette M. (Dave) Bicker of Lockport. Loving grandmother of: Megan Burnett of Lockport and great grandmother of: Katara. Sister of: Don (Pat) Hendley and Patricia (Don) Olaf both of Barker and the late James Hendley, Dick Hendley, Georgia Dunn and Pauline Halla. Sister-in-law of Debbie Hendley and Dwane Dunn. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the First Baptist Church, 6047 East Avenue, Newfane on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 am with the Reverend Patricia Ludwig officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Company or to the Arthritis Foundation.
