Obituary of Nancy Jo Graton Graton, Nancy Jo of Middleport passed away Wednesday evening, September 19, 2012 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare Facility.
Born in Medina, New York on May 13, 1954 daughter of Freda (Fizette) Mahnke of Middleport and the late Arthur Mahnke.
Nancy and her husband Joseph D. Graton were married September 20, 1980.
A resident of Middleport, Nancy worked during her life in Medina, NY. She contributed 22 years of service to Fisher-Price. After the factory closed she went on to dedicate herself to Bernzomatic for 15 years until her health forced her into an early retirement. Nancy influenced the lives of others and always had many friends who loved and cared for her. Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. she would always look on the positive side of things when times were rough during her illness. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, reading and doggie sitting her granddogs. She loved her dogs Bebe and the late Buddy.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Joseph D. Graton, a daughter Katie (Christopher) Hill of Medina, a son Arthur Graton of Middleport, her siblings Mary and Douglas Flack of Barker, Sue and Richard Herbert of Pennsylvania and Donna Mahnke of Wisconsin.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
There will be no prior visitation.
A Memoriall Service will be held at New Llife Alliance Church on Shelby Basin Road in Medina, NY on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 1:30 PM.
Donations may be made to the Children's or the Royalton-Hartland Community Library.
