Obituary of Neil A. Fisher Born April 1, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, Neil graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in 1952 where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering. As an ROTC student at Lehigh he continued on after graduation to serve in the U.S Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Neil married Joyce Belk on July 26, 1952 and they celebrated 56 married years together before Joyce predeceased him on May 20, 2009. They spent most of their married life in the Western New York area having spent many years in Williamsville, Cambria, Barker, Middleport and Lockport. Neil worked as an Engineer for General Electric and Westinghouse, among others. It was also during this period that he explored farming by moving his family from Williamsville to their first farm in Cambria, complete with beef cattle, chickens, vineyards and every imaginable fruit. He retired from ECC in 1992. Neil truly enjoyed farming, country life, family and music. He was a member of the Covenant United Church of Christ in Gasport and past member of the Barker Senior Citizens, Barker Community Band and Gasport Jet Set.
