Nellie A. Morphet Angelo

Obituary of Nellie A. Morphet Angelo Nellie A. Angelo (Morphet) age 93 of Lockport entered into rest on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Briody Health Care Facility in Lockport. Born November 16, 1917 in Middleport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Jane (McMaster) Morphet. Nellie graduated from Middleport High School in 1935 and had lived in Lockport since 1936, previously of Middleport. She married Thomas J. Angelo December 24, 1945 in Erie, PA. Mr. Angelo died September 3, 2005. Nellie had worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, retiring in 1945 after 6 years. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist in Lockport. Nellie was an avid bingo player and loved children. Beloved mother of: Terry Thomas Angelo of Ocala, Florida and the late Thomas Edward Angelo who predeceased her April 17, 2003. Dear sister of Lois (Tony) Tocco of Lockport and the late Mary Samarco, Thomas Morphet, Jean Morphet, Maude Farchione and Alexander Morphet. Loving grandmother of: Tonia R. (Mike) Schillinger of Charlotte, NC and Thomas Angelo of Lockport. Great grandmother of: Cole and Hannah and Haleigh Schillinger. Also survived by her wonderful ex-daughters-in-law, Elaine Rowland of Lockport and Lori Hall of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive Nellie. Family and friends are invited to visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11:00 am from the funeral home. Interment will in Glenwood Mausoleum, Lockport, NY.
