Obituary of Nicholas Quaranto Nicholas L. Quaranto age 76, died suddenly January 1, 2013 at Rochester General Hospital. He was born January 21, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY a son of the late Joseph and Jane (Molisoni) Quaranto and had lived in Holley most of his life. He was a former employee of Eastman Kodak Co, Keiffer Electric in Holley and Sylvania Electric in Batavia. Nick was currently working as the Sexton of Hillside Cemetery and Assessor for the Town of Murray. He was a former volunteer for the Holley Fire Dept. and a former member of the Holley Central School District Board of Education. Nick enjoyed working with wood and had made several things for family and friends. He also took great pride in working around his house. The family would like to thank the staff at Rochester General Hospital, M.C.C.Unit for the wonderful care given to Nick and his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Nenni-Quaranto; children, Diann (Scott Bone) Quaranto of MT., Darlene (Paul Nersinger) Quaranto of Chili, Michael (Sandra) Quaranto of Batavia; grandchildren, Damon, Derik, Brianna, Jessica, Samantha; great-grandchild, Madison; brother, Joseph (Karen) Quaranto of Holley; canine companion Maggie; sister-in-law, Audrey (Palmer) McCoy; brother-in-law, Richard Nenni of Holley; aunt, Thelma Quaranta of Batavia; close cousin, Viddy Quaranto of Holley; several nieces nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, Friday from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00. Nick's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3747 Brick Schoolhouse Rd. Hamlin, Saturday at 11:00am. Interment will be in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans P.O.Box 489, Albion, NY 14411. Visitation
Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 Services
