Obituary of Norman C. Braun Norman C. "Bud" Braun, age 83, of Middleport, entered into rest on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 2, 1934, in North Tonawanda, Norman is the son of the late: Norman V. and Irene (Stielow) Braun. Norman married Joanne, August 7, 2004. He had previously been married to Phyliss Ann McCollum, on October 6, 1956. Phyliss died July 24, 1996. Bud was a lifetime dairy farmer. He enjoyed hunting, reading, spending time with family, the companionship of his dog Charlie Brown, golfing and talking farming with his farming friends. He also worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport from 1953 to 1963. He served his country in the US Army from April 27, 1953, until April 5, 1956, during the Korean conflict, proudly achieving the rank of Sergeant. Surviving is his wife: Joanne (Lucas Boetcher) Braun and children: Lynn (Daniel) Budziszewski, Lori (Wayne) Rhinehart, Lisa (Ken) Glena, Leigh Braun, Andrew (Kristina) Braun, Amy (Todd) Zinkievich; stepfather of: Robin Eckert, Amy (Don) Yung and Greg (Wendy) Boetcher. Brother of: Helen (Paul) Petit and Janet (the late George) Donahue and special cousin Elizabeth Reisman. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 21 and ½ great grandchildren, several brother and sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, NY on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 am from St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church 1355 West Avenue, Medina.
