Obituary of Paul Wesley Abbey, Jr. (Holley) Paul Wesley Abbey, Jr., age 81, entered eternal rest on April 11, 2020, in Rochester, New York; and was born June 29, 1938, in Canandaigua, New York. He was predeceased by his parents, Iolene Belle Kingsley and Paul Wesley Abbey, Sr., by his wife, Esther Louise Look Abbey, and son, Richard Floyd Abbey. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Gail C. Abbey; sons & daughters-in-law Todd Russell Abbey (Erin), Craig Wesley Abbey (Clara); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Jo Abbey (Ben); grandchildren Jason T. Abbey (Megan), Kaitlyn A. Balch (Dillon), Paul D. Abbey (Sarah); Steven P. Abbey (Megan); and Génia E.E. Abbey; great-grandchildren Richard T. & Audrey R. Abbey; Gail’s children Bradley J. Zimmer; Laurie Z. Wyczawski; Kirk A. Zimmer, Sr.; Paula Z. Prater; and their families; many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. He grew up in Honeoye and Rochester, NY, and raised his family near Ellison Park in Brighton. He had a great sense of humor, was a dedicated family man, loved his family pets, enjoyed gardening and camping with his family. Paul was very talented in auto-body repair and loved 1957 Chevy’s. He served in the New York National Guard from 1957 to 1965. Paul enjoyed membership in the Grand Masons, Holiday Ramblers, Brighton Reformed Church, Boy Scouts, the St. Mary-St. Mark RC Parish, and made good friends in his neighborhoods in Brighton and Clarendon. Services will be held at a later date at a day and time to be announced. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. Holley. Interment will occur at Lakeview Cemetery, Honeoye, Ontario County, New York. Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S., 3371 Gaines Basin Rd. Albion NY 14411.
