Peter L. Patterson

Obituary of Peter L. Patterson Gaines: Peter L. Patterson, age 83, passed away on February 17th, 2018 at Orchard Manor in Medina, N.Y. He was born January 15th, 1935 in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended R.I.T. Peter served in the Air National Guard. He married Carole Holden on December 28th, 1957 in Buffalo and had recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. He was a dedicated employee who held positions at Albion Correctional Facility and Kodak. Peter was a Broker and owned Peter L. Patterson Reality. Peter was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He also loved reading, the computer and “The Farm”. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Patterson and Mable (Smith) Patterson; step-mother, Diane Patterson; his sisters, Roberta Kankiewicz and Tracey Wheeler; nephew, Jon Patterson; and niece, Rebecca Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Carole; sons, Reed Patterson, Wade Patterson, David (Gregory) Patterson, Ross (Kristin) Patterson and John (Jennifer) Patterson; grandchildren, Benjamin Patterson, Alana Patterson, MacKenzie Patterson, Sophia Patterson, Nathanial Patterson and Alessandra Patterson; siblings, Donna (Hugh) Gale, Tom Patterson, Roger (Denise) Patterson, Rick (Sue) Patterson, Diane (Bob) Millett and Dawn Patterson; many nieces and nephews; close friends, Peter Kage, Chris Spence, Jean and Barb Reidel, Sandy and Jack Robison, Bob, Lynn and Eric Widger, Elaine and Gordon (deceased) Walker, Craig and Debbie Platter, Toni and Joyce Palarmo. There will be no prior calling hours. Peter’s life will be celebrated on Saturday March 3rd at 11:00am at Gaines Congregational Church, 14023 Ridge Rd. (near Route 279) Albion, NY.
