Peter C. Zayac Jr.

Lockport: Peter C. Zayac Jr, entered into rest peacefully on August 31, 2023. He was born February 25, 1926 in Lancaster to the late Peter C. Zayac Sr. and Antoinette C. Wienckski.

Peter served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944-1946. He was a loving and caring family man. He was a lifelong railroad train enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his wife Sophie and daughter Judy Huffman.

He is survived by his daughters Camille Walker (Don Kuchy) and Gloria (Frank) Palisano, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peter’s family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main St. Gasport, NY 14067 on Saturday September 2nd from 11:00-1:00pm where his funeral service will be held at 1:00pm. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home after his funeral service. His interment will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at 10:00am at Cold Springs Cemetery where a very brief committal service will take place.
