Philip Patrick Ficarra

Obituary of Philip Patrick Ficarra Philip “Mickey” Ficarra, age 80, of Gasport, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his home. Born December 1, 1934 in Lockport, NY, Philip is the son of the late Dominic and Josephine (Salmeri) Ficarra. Philip was a member of the US Air force from 1951 until 1955. He married Wanda Shaffer November 27, 1954 in Waco, TX. Mrs. Ficarra died November 15, 2009. He had worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport as a welder. Philip was an avid gambler and enjoyed going to the casino. He had lived in the Gasport and Lockport area all of his life. Surviving are three daughters: Debbie (George) Holliday, Gina Carter and Carol (Tim) Lowery. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by a daughter: Donna Nieman. He is also survived by siblings: Mike Ficarra, Ann Hughes, and Jean (Gary) Cescon; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. There will be no prior visitation.
