Obituary of Raymond C. Dellario Raymond C. Dellario of Gasport passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home. Mr. Dellario was born in Jamestown, NY on August 15, 1923 son of the late Samuel and Nancy (DiFrancisco) Dellario and he lived most of his life in the Johnson Creek area. Mr. Dellario served in the US Navy during World War II and received the Victory Medal, the American Campaign-European AFR.-Mid.East Medal and also the Asiatic Pacific Medal. He and his wife Betty J. Dellario were married March 20, 1948 and she predeceased him in l987. He was employed at Harrison Radiator Division in skilled trades for several years until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish/st.Patrick's Church where he was a member of it's Holy Name Society and sang in the church choir. He was also a member of Clute Phillips American Legion Post #938 in Middleport and also a member of the Niagara County Democratic Committee and Local Union #686 where he had been a Committeeman for several years. He was also a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and volunteered for Tri-Town Ambulance for 30 years and he was a member of the Hartland Historical Society. He started the Ontario Fast Pitch Softball League. He enjoyed his family and playing cards. He is survived by his loving companion Suzzanne Verheyn and eight children Richard Dellario of Gasport, Nancy( Chester) Payne of Middleport, Sharon (Jack) Fox of Medina, Robert Dellario of Lockport, Sandy (Harry) Burdick of Middleport, Mark Dellario of Florida, Michael (Lia) Dellario of Middleport, Joseph (Heidi) Dellario of Middleport, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren andseveral nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Josephine Sottosanti, Helen Bishop and Susie Hoffman. Friends may call Friday 2 PM to 7 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Parish/St.Patrick's Church, Barker, NY where as Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. James Hassett. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Barker, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials to Niagara Hospice or Our Lady of the Lake Parish would be appreciated by the Dellario family.
