Obituary of Rebecca Ann Serth (NEWFANE) Rebecca A. “Becky” Serth (nee Stapleson), after a long relationship with Jesus Christ, went to be in the arms of the Lord on June 4, 2021 at Mercy Hospital due to Covid Complications. Becky was born in Lockport, NY on May 26, 1952. She graduated from Roy-Hart in 1970. Becky worked at the GM plant in Lockport for over 30 years and also worked at Christian Heritage Center and the Erie Canal Discovery Center. She was a member of the Hess Road Wesleyan Church and was a wonderful caregiver to many people, helping out in many ways. Rebecca is survived by her two children: HeidiSerth-Moselle of Cheektowaga and Jedadiah Serth of Newfane, 4 grandchildren: Eliza, Braden, Raina Serth and Alyson Moselle, her mother: Joanne (Robert McElwain) Ridgeway of Gasport, sisters: Judy (Milton Cummings) McHenry of Gasport, Nancie Langridge of Elba, Christine Stapleson of Gasport, Brenda (Steve) Ruether of Brockport, Susan Bennett of Lockport and was loved by many friends, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father: John Stapleson, brother: Jeffrey Stapleson, sister: Wendy Moran and brother-in-law: Vancle McHenry. The family will receive friends at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St.-Gasport, THURSDAY from 3-6 pm only. Family and friends are invited to attend Becky’s Funeral Service FRIDAY 11am in the Royalton Bible Church, 8457 Bunker Hill Rd., Gasport, NY, 14067. Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
