Rhoda Van Orden

Obituary of Rhoda Van Orden Born in 1914 just four months short of her 103 birthday, Rhoda went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2017. Predeceased by P. Orren Van Orden her husband, her brothers Alvin, Richard, sisters Doris, Evelyn. Survived by her children Orren (Lillian "Dorothy"), Lynn, Sandra, Timothy (Sandra). Grand children Scott, Kim, Randall, Christopher, Staryl, Collin, and twelve great grandchildren. While attending Holley high school Rhoda lived with and assisted Dr. and Mrs. Leon Ogden M.D. She resided in the village for 75 years enjoying raising her family, an extraordinary mother and homemaker. During which time she was the accounts receivable bookkeeper for Gordis Hardware, served as a Deputy Town Clerk of the town of Murray, and was a den mother when the first Cub Scout pack was formed in Holley in the 1950s.
