Obituary of Richard Beardsley (KENT)
Richard L. Beardsley, age 76 of Kent Road, died at his residence 8/25/2014 following a brief illness. He was born 6/3/1938 in Albion to Sanford and Elizabeth(Haight)Beardsley and was a lifetime resident of this area. While having been a Town of Carlton employee for 36 years, Richard was a former Highway Superintendent for the Town, a position he held for over 20 years. He was a member of the Gaines-Carlton Community Church, a member of the Albion Lodge #1006 B.P.O. Elks, and a Life Member (almost 57 years,) and Past Chief of the Carlton Fire Department. Mr. Beardsley was predeceased by a sister Kerry Roberts. He is survived by his brother-in-law: Robin(LuAnn)Roberts of Kent, his sisters: Judy(Jim)Plummer, Nancy(Bill)Oliver both of Kent, several nieces and nephews including Kristen(Todd)Ferris as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Richard's Memorial Service TUESDAY 9/2/2014 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue-Albion, beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans or the Carlton Fire Department. Visitation
