Obituary of Richard T. Brown Middleport: Richard T. Brown 89, passed away May 2, 2021 at the Martin Linsin Residence in Albion. He was born September 11, 1931 in Barker, NY to the late John and Winifred (Wortley) Brown. He was a 1951 graduate of Royalton-Hartland High School. Mr. Brown served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of Post 3180 Newstead Memorial VFW and L.L. Tillman Post 900 American Legion. On March 26, 1955 Richard married the former Esther Wagner and were married for 66 years.Richard worked for E&M Enterprises for over 40 years as a machinist and upon his retirement, worked for Keeler Construction. He was passionate about farming, hunting, gardening and fishing. He enjoyed bowling, canning, tinkering on his John Deere tractor, the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills. Above all else, Mr. Brown loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Esther; daughters, Roxane (Mark) Botsford of Baldwinsville, Teri (Mark) Keeler of Albion, Wendy (Gary) Purser of Newfane; grandchildren, Danielle (Jason) Grilli, Christopher (Morgan) Botsford, Brett (Katlin) Botsford, Katherine (Ian) Foos, Christine (Clint) Masterson, James “Buddy” (Victoria) Keeler, Daniel “DJ” Davis, Allison Davis; great-grandchildren, Jayse and Jayden Grilli, Cash, Beau and Banks Botsford and Luke Masterson; brother, Robert Brown; sister Betsy Neuman, both of Middleport; several nieces, nephews friends and caregivers. The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Middleport on Thursday, May 6th from 11:00-1:00, where Richard’s Funeral Service will follow at 1:00. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411 or the Middleport Fire Co. 28 Main St. Middleport, NY 14105. Please note the Funeral Home and will be operating at 50% capacity per state guidelines.
