Obituary of Richard Cary (HOLLEY)
Richard F. Cary age 73 of High Street, died suddenly 11/27/2014 in the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. He was born 11/01/1941 in Holley to Richard and Lillian(Campito)Cary and was a life-long resident of this area. Richard was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the American Legion. He belonged to St. Mary RC Church where he served as the oldest Altar Boy. He also was a 52 year member of the Holley Fire Company and was Captain of the Fire Police. Mr. Cary retired from Eastman Kodak after 40 years of service and in his retirement, he enjoyed making model airplanes, raising flowers; especially Giant Dahlias, and cooking anything with hot peppers. Richard was an avid sports enthusiast and took great joy in watching his grandchildren play any sport. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Theresa, his sons: Jamie(Kelly)Cary of Rochester, Rick(Geri)Cary of Holley, his brothers: David(Karen Gerringer)Cary of Holley, Robert Cary of FL, his sister: Debra Beebe of Holley, 4 grandchildren: Rebecca, Kayla, Andrew, Morgan, several nieces, nephews and special friend: Carol. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rt. 31 (West Albion Road,)-Holley, WEDNESDAY 4-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend Richard's Memorial Mass THURSDAY 10 a.m. at St. Mary RC Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holley Fire Company or the Holley Senior Citizen's Center. Visitation
