Obituary of Richard H. Ingraham MIDDLEPORT Richard H. "Dick" Ingraham, age 79, died July 3, 2020 at his residence following a brief illness. Dick was born September 23, 1940 in Middleport, a son of Russell and Ruth (Turrell) Ingraham and was a life-long resident of this area. Dick was a United States Navy Veteran having served on a submarine during the mid 1960's and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Middleport Fire Department for over 30 years, a member of the UAW Local #686, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling. Above all, Dick enjoyed being around his family and friends and got along with everyone. Mr. Ingraham was predeceased by his daughter: Tracy Jones, and his siblings: Terry Ingraham, Dorothy Webber, Edith Gilbert and Marie Lozaw. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carol, his daughter: Michell (Jeffrey) Kinney of Lockport, a son-in-law: Jessie Jones of TN, a brother-in-law Edward Lozaw, grandchildren: Jeremy (Kristen) Ingraham, Colton Kinney, Devon (Jeremy) Decker, Rowdy Jones, Seth Jones, Noah Jones, his great grandchildren: Charlotte, Madelyn, Gemma as well as several nieces and nephews including Cindy Cornelius who was a very special caregiver. The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport on WEDNESDAY from 1-3:30 only. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. With restrictions on social gatherings still in place, you will be required to wear a face mask to enter the Funeral Home and social distancing guidelines will be in place. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Middleport Fire Department, 28 Main St., Middleport, NY, 14105.
