Brockport: Richard N. “Rich” LoMonaco, age 58, passed away October 29, 2021 at his home with his loving wife by his side after a hard-fought battle with ALS. He was born May 18, 1963 in Rochester to Richard S. “Dick” and Melba (LaLonde) LoMonaco.
Rich was a very hard worker and owned and operated Reds Home Improvement for 30 years. Rich ended his career landing his dream job at Gates Chili School District for 2 years before medically retiring where he made many more friends. His heart was in the 1000 Islands and he made so many great memories there. Spending time fishing and boating always made Rich feel at home.
Rich was predeceased by his father, Richard S. “Dick”, and his sister, Judith.
He is survived by his angel of 21 years, Suzanne (Surace) LoMonaco, children, Richard LoMonaco, Chelsey LoMonaco, Mackenzie (fiancé Daniel Don) LoMonaco, mother, Melba (Salvatore Zanghi) LoMonaco, mother and father-in-law, Marie and Joseph Surace Sr., brother-in-law, Joseph Surace Jr., grandchildren, Blake S. Shea, Vera Rose Shea, Finley May Don, siblings, Mark (Sarah) LoMonaco, Chris (Donna) LoMonaco, Julie LoMonaco, nephews, Jacob, Joseph, Jonathan, Eric, Michael, Justin, and many friends that were like family to Rich.
A gathering celebrating Rich’s life will be held on Friday, November 12th from 3:00pm until…at the Brockport Conservation Club, 291 Ladue Road Brockport, NY 14420, all are welcome to attend.
