Richard “Dick” “Moose” McDonell, age 81, died October 19, 2024 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. He was born July 4, 1943 in Buffalo to Marshall and Doris (Kennedy) McDonell and was a life-long resident of this area.
Dick enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, attending auctions, camping and working in his garage. Above all, Dick loved his family. Mr. McDonell was predeceased by a daughter: Kimberly K. McDonell.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Judy, his children: Rick (Doreen Pensyl) McDonell Jr. of Gasport, Lori (Michael) Ketch of Appleton, Dan (Kim) McDonell of Gasport, his sister: Patricia (Sue Emborsky) McDonell of Clarence Center, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours and a private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY, 10016. Dick’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home of Gasport.
