Obituary of Richard Francis O'Grady Richard Francis O’Grady, age 89, entered into rest on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Riverview Manor in Owego, NY. Born March 27, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY, Richard is the son of the late Dennis and Rebecca (Stewart) O’Grady. Richard married the late Josephine (Chiodo) O’Grady May 10, 1942 at St. Mary R.C. Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Together they had 5 children: Cathy Willis of Ithaca, Lane Woods of Ithaca, Colleen (James) Graham of Howie in the Hills, FL, Susan (Andrew) Treitler of Barker and Richard (Kelly) O’Grady of Gasport. Also surviving Richard are his grandchildren: Paul, Rebecca, Mark, Lauren, Katie, Shawn, Richard and the late Alexandria and his great grandchildren: Dogi, Ayele and Ahnikah Rose. Besides his wife and granddaughter, Richard was predeceased by two brothers: William and Henry O’Grady. Richard worked at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls as a machine operator and also FMC in Middleport on the loading dock. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick R.C. Church in Barker, now known as Our Lady of the Lake (Barker Site). He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his garden, farm and working with his cows. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport from 7-9 pm A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:00 at Our Lady of the Lake (Barker Site), 1726 Quaker Road, Barker with the Reverend James Hassett officiating.
