Obituary of Richard V. Scharping (HOLLEY)
Richard V. Scharping, age 73 of Hurd Road, died unexpectedly 5/3/2014 in Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born 10/16/1940 in Brockport to Vernon and Catherine(Hurd)Scharping and was lifetime resident of this area. Richard was a member of the Holley First Presbyterian Church, a former member of the F&AM, the Holley Fire Department and the Holley Woodsman Club. Mr. Scharping loved farming, enjoyed hunting, loved John Deer Tractors, and had a great love for his Country. However, his greatest love was his family, whom he looked forward to talking with each and every day. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Carolyn, sons: Todd Scharping of Holley, Vernon(Jill)Scharping of Holley, James(Corrina)Lesko of PA, Joseph(Gail)Lesko of Holley,brother: James Scharping of Holley, sister: Ann Rohland of Holley, his grandchildren: Vernon II, Kelly, Rebecca, Jimmy, Danny, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his faithful dog "Spud". There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Richard's Memorial Service, SATURDAY 5/17/2014 at 11 a.m. in the Holley First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church. Arrangements were made by Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Holley. Visitation
