Obituary of Rita Louise McGuire (ALBION)
Rita Louise McGuire, age 86 of Elmwood Avenue, died 7/3/07 in Lakeside Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born October 2, 1918 in Albion to Joseph and Julia(Lynch)McGuire and was a lifetime resident of this area. Louise was a graduate of Albion High School, the Rochester General School of Nursing, and Syracuse University. She was a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy Nurse Corps. Miss McGuire was also a member of St. Joseph's Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for several years, was a charter member of the Ladies of Charity as well as the Albion High School Alumni Foundation. Louise retired in 1977 as the Asst. Chief of Nursing Services at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Batavia.
