Obituary of Robert R. Brooks (CLARENDON)
Robert R. Brooks, age 91 of Upper Holley Road, died 4/20/2014 in Unity Hospital at Park Ridge following a short illness. He was born 4/22/1922 in Clarendon to Claude and Margaret(Kerr)Brooks and was a lifetime resident of this area. Mr. Brooks was an Army Veteran of WWII, and had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Orleans County and the Town of Clarendon. Robert was a member of the Holley Rod and Gun Club, the NRA, and as such was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and anything to do with wildlife. Mr. Brooks was predeceased by a brother William Brooks. He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Geraldine, his son: David(Chris)Brooks of Clarendon, a daughter: Jacqueline Mahnke of Clarendon, a sister: Nellie Bundrock of Batavia, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Robert's Funeral Service WEDNESDAY 11 a.m. at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31(West Albion Road)-Holley. Private interment will be in Mount Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clarendon Fire Department. Visitation
